Identity
Wingman is a personal project that I worked on with a classmate. We created a watch band that splits the middle between classical and next-generation design. I designed the sport model, and Ilya created the dress watch.
Wingman Watches is centered around men's fashion using styles based on the minimalist W logo and diamond pattern derived from the shape the W and M create when combined.
Initial Form Exploration
Keeping with the angled aesthetics of the W, M, and Diamond Logo, I created a watch with an octoganal case. The angled form matches the speed and movement inspired by athletes.
Diagonal Buttons
The side circular buttons are at a 45 degree angle from the center of the watch. These match the natural position your hand makes when reaching for your watch, making the user experience much comfortable and ergonomic.
They also feature a patterned texture on the inlays, providing haptic feedback to wearers.
